移动服务事业部（中国区）是微软移动服务事业部在海外从事全球移动服务研发的重要机构。部门初建于2005年6月，现已发展为拥有完整开发、测试、项目管理及用户体验的产品开发团队，分布在上海，深圳，北京三地。

 

移动服务事业部（中国区）主要致力于研发以下方面的全球移动服务体验：

l  手机SMS服务平台

l  Windows Live ID在线服务用户体验

l  基于诺基亚手机平台的Windows Live全方位用户体验

l  针对全球市场（中国、日本、以色列、北美）的人性化移动用户体验设计

Friedbert Wall毕业于加拿大西蒙·弗雷泽大学 （Simon Fraser University），1991年加入微软，在微软公司的16年工作经历中，先后在加拿大温哥华、美国西雅图等多个地区工作。 2005年8月，Friedbert移居中国上海，管理Windows Live 在上海的研发工作。 Windows Live中国在上海有200余名开发人员，从事包括Messenger, Search, Spaces, Member Experience, Hotmail等Windows Live全球产品的的研发工作。Friedbert Wall有多年的软件测试工作经验，在微软曾担任过测试经理, 测试总监等职务。

Friedbert Wall serves as general manager of Windows Live China (WLC) and Windows Live Mobile (WLM). In his 16 years at Microsoft, Wall has managed a number of teams in the test field and served as software test engineer manager, group test manager and director of test. Before moving to Shanghai in 2005 as senior director of WLC Shanghai, Wall was group test manager for the User Experience Team in Redmond, Washington. Now in the role of general manager, Wall oversees WLC operations in Beijing, Shanghai and WLM operations in Shenzhen.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Wall spent five and half years at Motorola as a system engineer and then software test manager. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia.
